It will fit but you need to cut the lower link a bit .Just trim it down where the link brace is : )Sorry if this has been posted before but this is such a long thread. Unfortunately you need to trim it but it's a small price to pay for what you get ; ))Does the CCDB Air fit without trim the linkage/frame?
if you have F7 lower links you dont have to trim much. however I recommend the xfusion air HLR, with dw tune. that is a seriously badass airshock on the sundayDoes the CCDB Air fit without trim the linkage/frame?
i suggest two options - either get avy cart for your boxxer (35mm stanchions) or find a kashima fox 40 coil. They are going to cost 500 for the cart or 600 for a used fox 40 either way. If you buy a 40, find a 2011+ fox 40 with kashima to make sure you dont get the crappy cartridge with the bladder that fails. make sure compression knobs are on top to tell if its a 2011+So I am completely overwhelmed with the options for a new dual crown fork. I am trying to bring my sunday up to modern day performance and this seems way too complicated there are so many options. Any help is greatly appreciated. I am still running my 07 sunday with the stock vivid rear shock and a boxxer world cup. I cant say its great but I can't complain either. With kids etc... I cant spend the time rebuilding a fork every couple of weeks and dont have the time to research like crazy and become a suspension expert. You guys ride them all and I only get out on the weekends to the ski areas, no racing and no crazy drops-too old. I dont mind doing some service to the fork, oil changes are fine but I dont see myself changing shim stacks etc... Rather go coil than air High and low speed compression, rebound, sag are about as technical as I get Kinda ruling out the boxxer due to the maint issues Considering an avy cartridge for my existing boxxer Marzocchi 888 rc but it does not seem to have high speed comp Marzocchi 888 evo but then I gotta mess with shim stacksMaybe fox is the awnser any opinions on what works best on the sunday
Zelvy should just make a rear triangle too while they are at it. Fully updated geo, carbon Sunday FTW!Did zelvy ever make a down tube guard for the sunday?
Good on it! By the by, you have heard of another Iron Horse - the 6POINT?? Not that it needs any help but it goes well with Sunday's...Hey guys. Greg here from zelvycarbon. Yes we are working on building a front end for the Sunday. Geometry will be custom, we will also have an alloy lower link to suit the new shocks very soon. If you are interested contact me sales@zelvycarbon.com. Price will be around a grand aud to 1500. Will also offer a full rebuild exchange service. Long live the Sunday.
This is a good news! 1 Follow from Portugal (Europe)!Hey guys. Greg here from zelvycarbon. Yes we are working on building a front end for the Sunday. Hi, Greg, of Zelvy, please also make an aftermarket carbon f7 upper linkage, for those on the budget, and can't afford new carbon front triangle. Sunday owners would surely buy this.
Is the carbon front triangle comes in different sizes S, M, L, (3 molds)? or 1 mold only? M/L.
Is the upright also with cut outs any pics/ drawings?
Planning for the carbon rear end? It should be 650b compatible.
Have yet to get riding time on my 6POINT but if ZELVY catches a wave with the Sunday and are later equipped for others like the 6POINT -- top tube bumper for a negative offset stem.Integrated bump stops on new front is a nice idea i think
The difference between 05 and 09 frames is in the linkage.Help needed, Im in the market for a Iron Horse Sunday jus wanted to know what to look for.
How can I tell the difference between say 05 frame and 09 frame ?
Are they prone to Cracking/Breaking anywhere ? certain models stronger than others ? and so on.
Im 6" 3" I know the Large is 19" but thats seems huge to me could i get away with a Medium do you think ? i don't mind smaller bikes, I used to ride a 16" Orange downhill bike.
Any help would be great, thanks
Thanks for the feedback this bike popped up for sale, is this a newer model the guy says 07 but i cant tell from this pic ?the different you need to look for is the linkage
in the newer models, they made the 10mm hardware
in 2005\6 they had issues with the linkage getting loose (8mm )
There'll be no mistaking the 10mm hardware upgrade and the F7 Linkages, those are all Silver. The Hardware does not crossover at all, so any bike having all this will be 2007 or later. Thanks for the feedback this bike popped up for sale, is this a newer model the guy says 07 but i cant tell from this pic ?
Also it has a red bottom link which I was under the impression was made for a BOS shock ?

A Large could fit you fine, if it's a longer front end you're wanting riding a Med. will not get you there. Standover is not hugely different on Iron Horse. Is there any chance in hell that a 19" Sunday would fit a person who is 5'9"? (32" inseam). Or would it simply be too tall? I am interested in having a longer bike, as that seems to be the trend these days, however, I'm deeply worried about stand over.
where did you find those? are they sunday specific?Anyone have this bushings on IH Sunday? Feedback about this?
