likely will come to nothing but trying to do my small part for local street safety advocacy here in Denver

off with the 2.35" Schwalbe Al Grounders

on with the significantly lower volume, siped and studded Schwalbe Marathon Winter Plus meats. wrestling that super heavy hub motor rear wheel into the dropouts is a pain in the ass and a half

Sucks they cut the drop out on the bike. I wonder how hard it is to find a new rear end? Other than that the bike seems like it'd be great for a kid in need or something?

Also kind of surprised, but not really surprised, that they didn't take the frame back for some sort of carbon "recycling".

google did not reveal any frames for sale. might be quite difficult actually

but I'm glad I got it back for parts if nothing else. not going to waste my time eBaying everything tho. but some things

the XT 4 pots would be a fine, fine upgrade for the cable actuated discs on the cargo bike, especially if I'm not the one putting on a super long rear hose and rebleeding them. I'd need to buy 6 bolt rotors from the local shop I had in mind but the Centerlock rotors could be wear items for le new bike.

always good to have an extra seat around. dropper can be eBayed and shipped pretty easily as a unit with its trigger.

otherwise maybe the whole electric drivetrain as one auction? (motor, wiring, left and right pods, central computer thing, cadence sensor). I don't want to mess with shipping lithium so would leave the two batteries out of it--very expensive and involving a hazardous materials cargo broker the one time I had to do it.

and then try to sell the wheelset locally (110 x 15 mm Boost up front, 157 mm x 12? 15 mm? Super Boost Plus in rear with nice DT hubs, straight pull spokes, and rims) on the bookface.

if someone can hunt down a replacement rear triangle for me then that'd solve everything and I'd keep it whole kthx

Put a post on emptybeer in the Pivot forum - breaking a pivot shuttle for parts. Didn't you have a second battery for it too to get rid of?

I have a stack of 6-bolt rotors, every size. Let me know what you need.
thanks. I figure buying some stuff from them while bringing in some of my own parts will make the shop more inclined to take my job on the goofy cargo bike, though.

there comes a time to discard the West Elm sectional that's falling apart at the seams (literally) and try something in "ultra-soft furry corduroy fabric"

after all, it is from Costco so can be returned if it came to that… and the potential upside is high

My insurer wanted to ensure that I’m still iron deficient before giving the go-ahead for IV iron infusions

And—guess what?—I still am iron deficient. Not anemic, per se, at least today. The red cell distribution width indicates I am having higher than normal turnover of new cells, iirc.

Bonus shot of high creatinine by virtue of having above average muscle mass (since my cystatin C estimated GFR is normal).

Thoughts on a one year lease? Price is wicked cheap, I guess I don’t understand how they can charge 220/mo for one year and 350/mo for 3 years. What the hell am I missing?
All depends on where Hyundai Finance decided to set the RV for each term. If they juiced the 12 mo one then go for it, imo

did a refundable $500 deposit, got them to check out ductwork sizes and electrical panel capacity and all, and we ended up here, $1,800 creep upwards (because resistive strips and the Denver circuit rebate somehow dropping out).

I countered to get it back down, using my knowledge re the state credit (which requires at least a third of the $1,500 to be passed to the consumer but by no means limits it to that):
