I don't get how everyone keeps saying Hill deserves the win. He didn't have the fastest time. Was he crazy fast? Hell yeah but he didn't have a clean run.

Gee was who I wanted to win all along, and I couldn't be happier. Also I agree that to win you have to hold back and not crash etc, but it's not like hill was 0.5 seconds up and crashed from trying too hard. He was TEN seconds up and crashed from trying too hard. He could have sat up and rolled down the bottom third of the course and still won! Yep, he made a mistake, and yes, he hasn't won.
But still, and despite having wanted Gee to win, I enjoyed Hills run more. It was the craziest thing I've ever seen, absolutely nuts. That's what I watch these races for, balls-out riding, and Sam gets my utmost respect for that, I still can't get over it!

Holy, hell! I'm still buzzing from that race. When Hill went down I thought it WAS Peaty's turn. Congrats to the Brits for taking all the DH gold. Freecaster for President.

Bingo! Anyone can let go of the brakes completely and try the same thing but they will probably make mistake like he did. Just the way it goes. He justb has a supreme control of his bike that allows him to do it more easily than some of the other top guys.

When Sam flew over the last big jump I was think careful with the loose sand careful with that amount of speed. I guess he did not hear me and I am surprised that something like that would take him down after blasting the rest of the course like he did.

Don't dribble, if everyone could go that fast, everyone would have been 8 secs up on Peaty. Sam made a big mistake, thus the rest of the field got lucky.
