it makes no difference.
all that the pulley does is locate the chain in the right place, the teeth keep it in the right place and presumably help stop it falling off.
i.e. an mrp roller and toothy e13 cog both are different but do the same kinda job

most single pivot bikes tend to run quite a low pivot point (223s etc.) , this eliminates quite abit of pedal bob etc and as much chain growth as possible.

Sun MTXs seem a good rim choice atm if you want to stray away from mavics.
Hope bulbs laced to a set and built 3X by a respected wheelbuilder would suit me fine.

BETD are a very good company and are well respected over here in the UK.
however, their longer travel plates for Kona's and AC's etc. are still known to blow shocks and break frames.....
theyre not very good and itd be worth running the standard plates
