    Sunday World Cup

I'm really digging mine as well. Came in at 41# stock on the shop scale in a size Medium. The 5150 pedals are junk. They fell apart on the first day. Anyone who gets those pedals - you may want to lock-tite the screws that hold in the stupid "you can replace me with other colors" plates...

    Socom

It sounds like you are thinking away from the Socom now, but one other point: you state that you are not smooth. This is bike is designed for DH race use, but I would suggest it only to smoother riders. It uses the absolute bare minimum material to make it as light as possible. It is not good...

    Bootleg Canyon

Is any of this confirmed? I did the race there last year and it was a blast. I've been hoping they'd have another in 2007. I checked the bootleg site and it still only has old information about interbike stuff.

    Roostmaster???

Sounds really great! Well, except for that "climb back up to the top" part.

    2007 MSC Schedule Released!

I'm stoked that Angel Fire is on Memorial Day weekend! More time at such a great event.

    Roostmaster???

Roostmaster definitely sounds pretty rad, whatever it's gonna be! Looking at Chile Challenge, it lists Dual Slalom instead of Super-D. I'm assuming that's a typo?

40lb post! DH/FR Rigs around the 40lb mark! tips, pics, specs

Where do you suggest losing two more pounds? A ti coil would drop almost a pound, but I'm not sure where else to drop weight on that bike and still make it a worthy DH bike. I've ridden that exact bike and it completely rips! I thought the head angle felt a little steep for my tastes...

40lb post! DH/FR Rigs around the 40lb mark! tips, pics, specs

I don't mean to sound like a snob, but 40 lbs FR / trail bikes are not uncommon nor difficult to accomplish. This should be limited to near 40 lbs or less full-on DH race bikes. I have an Iron Horse World Cup on order for 2007 with some immediate changes when I get it. I'll post pics in...

    Dirt Jump Bug bit me!

The last time I saw the Denver skatepark (two days ago), there was still a considerable amount of snow/ice in the east half (street area) of the park. There were a few skaters in the bowls, so those may be rideable.

The Official Iron Horse Sunday / DW-Link Tech. & Tuning Section

Sick!! Right on; I was hoping that was the case. Thanks!

The Official Iron Horse Sunday / DW-Link Tech. & Tuning Section

My race team just reserved six Sunday World Cups for the next racing season and they were told by the person (I don't know their name) at IH that the factory frameset was exactly the same as the world cup frames. Is that correct? Has something changed? The reason I'm asking is because I was...

CU Boulder DH course - 10/14

The Super-D was super-bad-ass. Good times - glad I attended. Does anyone know if the results will be posted online somewhere? I didn't hang around once the rain / snow started to see all the results.

    lenses

I have a friend who wore the snow lenses (two layer) in his MX goggles this year and liked them. If you want to use some lenses for snow, get a two layer for that - it will work much better and will also fit into your frame, like DDD said. I would use the single layer for mtb tho, IMO.

Why racing regionally RULES :: MSC X-Post

I was more than happy to let Chris race my 4x bike after I got eliminated. It was awesome to see Chris rip on a bike he'd never ridden before in a race run. Our class this year (30+ Expert) was like that all year. Super fun and competitive, but everyone treats everyone else really well.

    lenses

I raced for Utopia this year and was incredibly impressed with their clear lens. This is hands down the best anti-fog single layer lens I have ever used. It only fogs in really, really wet conditions. I also used their smoke mirror lens which scratched extremely easily and din't have the...

    Speed Trap - Snowmass

I think the highest speed I saw was 36 mph.

    Snowmass photos

The course was also 20 seconds or so longer than the course for the MSC race.

Who is at the top of DH........

Wow - getting beat by Switzerland, Finland and Chile! I don't think I really know any riders from those contries. On the other hand, probably people from other countries don't know any of the US DH riders!

    What is Keystone thinking?

Keystone was open on Saturday and was a super-fun mudfest! It rained constantly until about 1pm and all riders were covered head-to-toe in mud. The trails had small streams running down them just before lunch. It was such a blast!
