Steep, loose & dusty - tyres?

Well, I must not be riding these things aggressively enough, because I don't find them confidence inspiring at all. Been riding the 2.6s for about 2 months now, and I think I'm getting ready to put my Minions back on. (or maybe get some High Rollers after seeing all the love for them in this...

    An Open Letter

Does it help in Minnesota? I've often thought that would fix a lot of the traffic problems in Maryland... The big merge areas are always where the backups are. I've seen the stop lights on some freeway on-ramps in the LA area, but figured the traffic was too far gone for them to make a...

I can't find any other photos either.... Strange, considering the number of photographers that were on the course during practice and the race.

Broke my toe.. can i still ride?

I asked my Orthopedic Surgeon, one time, if I could race with my injured rotator cuff... She said, "I don't know... Can you race? Either you can or you can't." I thought that was a good point, but it did sound kinda odd coming from a doctor. (I suppose being an NFL team doctor might have...

    NHL Playoffs . . .

To me, it looked pretty innocent. Just looked like they ran into each other. Of course, I don't actually play hockey. A buddy of mine who actually plays hockey says it was cheap and dirty as well.

I don't understand why people feel the way they do about Ovechkin... What has he done to make you think that?

What to do in Baltimore on a Monday?

The Fells Point area has some pretty decent little Irish pubs and other types of bars. Also, some people seem to like the big open-air markets, like Lexington Market. I've never been, but I've heard they are cool.

Loco, been to the hospital lately?

When I was driving an ambulance and riding a fire engine, we had a few frequent flyers that called for no other reason, than that they were lonely. Pretty sad.

Asian hordes invade Tahoe, film at 11

I'm not sure about the rest of Asia, but in Japan, tipping is NOT customary. When I got my "Welcome to Japan" briefing, (military) it was given by a local Japanese guy. He was adamant that tipping was not the custom in Japan, and that they did not want to get it started there. "So, please...

    Freaking Brrrrrr

I've done the fire thing in the cold... It sucks. I was on a call once where it was so cold, that my regulator froze open on me while I was working up on a ladder... Had to thaw it out by letting it sit next to the exhaust from the ladder truck.

so how many leaves do you have to rake?

I have the same problem... This last wave produced 14 giant bags of MULCHED leaves. To make matters worse, I am allergic to all the dust and crap, so every time I do leaves, my sinuses are a wreck for 2 days. I've seriously considered wearing a respirator while mulching the leaves.
