So I thought I would resurrect a 4 year old thread.
Hope you boys are doing well. A crew of us are thinking we miss Windrock and would like to come for a visit over Easter.
Y'all still ride bikes or what? :)
If you have a truck for shuttling 'd head down to Rossland and Nelson. Both have a ton of shuttle ready DH trails and good maps available. Check out Sacred Ride or Gerrick Cyles in Nelson for details. While you're there be sure to check out Bald Face lodge for a nice leisurely 5000' descent...
Hey all,
Quick bio first, I accepted a job transfer to cali and I just moved to Hermosa Beach from North Vancouver last thursday. Hermosa is awefully flat compared to the motherland but it is only 10 minutes from my new office and the wife will enjoy the beach.
I brought my SX trail out...
Give SFU a try out on Burnaby Mtn. It's pretty mellow but definately more challenging then UBC. I think it's a great place to take newbies in the lower mainland.
I put a set on for some indoor mtnx and they ruled on the hardpack. I've left them on for the first couple xc/freerides and they're pretty cool. They roll extrememly fast, have good cornering on the hardpack, but can get sketchy in the loose stuff as well as on roots/wood/wet-rock. I've found...

Like Farkin dude said, get intouch with your local Manitou service shop and they...
I'm thinking a week long vacation in October starting with a race in Plattekill then head down to Knoxville for a week of riding.
I'll bring some more Creemore.
If by pass you mean go flying head over heals into the woods then yes I was trying to pass. ;)
It's still eating me that I didn't try the big drop on that line. Just another reason to come back I suppose. :thumb:
That was the definition of an epic weekend. Thank-you so much for showing us your trails and all of your hospitality all weekend.
Sorry for missing the Saturday ride with you Butch, but as you said, after driving all that way we couldn't miss riding Windrock. And as it turns out all that...
