Nice.In case you’re bored and want to see me skiing
But for the life of me I can't figure out where those trees are.

I'm bored... but not *that* bored. In case you’re bored and want to see me skiing
Can't. Leaving for Bozeman/Bridger/Big Sky on Thursday...
Looks like my pre-planned Wednesday ski day this week is going to miss out on the snow (as it starts late Wednesday). On the other hand, next Wednesday seems like it might work out just fine.
@Nick @SkaredShtles @stoney anyone game to join me next Wednesday eh?
don't need much power to spin up those 12"-wheel dualies!
you do with two sleds on the back at 8k elevationdon't need much power to spin up those 12"-wheel dualies!
Might make a road trip south after Tuesday night rehearsal. Stay in Pueblo, drive another 3 hrs Wed morning, because:

That does seem unwise.Skiing and travel on a 24” day may not be ideal.
If you're going to drive south to ski - go to Taos.Choices (updated Sunday)

Copper? Or drive the extra 2 hours to Snowmass? Wolf Creek seems too dicey with those snow totals and inferred road conditions, besides being even farther out yet.
This ^^^. That much fresh on Ajax would be so so so good. Cold as fuck and storm conditions will make driving anywhere a shit show for a couple of days. You're already late.If you're going to drive to the RFV to ski - ski Ajax or Highlands

Looks like it'll be a pretty easy trip to the RFV or Wolf Creek, according to that map. You should leave now.Per CDOT:
The "extreme impacts" purple south part of Mineral County would like to have a word with youLooks like it'll be a pretty easy trip to the RFV or Wolf Creek, according to that map. You should leave now.
Pshhhhht - you'd be coming in from the easy (east) side... worst you'd have to deal with is about 10 miles of "extreme impacts." FTR, 160 almost NEVER closes from the east side. The west side is another story altogether...The "extreme impacts" purple south part of Mineral County would like to have a word with you
It's just too far away given my schedule constraints.Pshhhhht - you'd be coming in from the easy (east) side... worst you'd have to deal with is about 10 miles of "extreme impacts." FTR, 160 almost NEVER closes from the east side. The west side is another story altogether...
Child's play...
Take the Cruiser.
Come on, man... at least hit up Union, Spaulding, and Reso. If it's decent soft snow, the left edge of Cabin Chute is a hootenanny. It's just too far away given my schedule constraints.
Copper it shall be. Nice intermediate grade trees so I can make yet another video of the same thing
I'll explore a bit. Me being an old man and all, though, I like runs that don't make me ski all choppy.Come on, man... at least hit up Union, Spaulding, and Reso. If it's decent soft snow, the left edge of Cabin Chute is a hootenanny.
Then go do a few laps on Black Bear, 17-Glade, and Freefall.
The only one that might remind you of the "choppiness" of Eagle Wind would be 17-Glade. Depending on line choice, you can end up in some weirdly tight trees with large, stupid-shaped moguls.I'll explore a bit. Me being an old man and all, though, I like runs that don't make me ski all choppy.
Eagle Wind == fun but I'm definitely choppy, for example.
People need to quit crashing into one another.
Crashes more or less along my path described this morning:
I270 WB
I76 EB
I70 WB in the tunnel, twice
I70 EB between Frisco and Silverthorne, and at Havana
I70 WB at Vail and Silver Plume
Santa Fe SB
y'all get the point.
As is tradition.Wife had to head into downtown along US 6 this morning first thing. Said there was a brodozer jeep resting on its roof along the way.
