yo. any one here use a volcano? Just picked one up and was curious about the volcano poop/leftovers and cooking. what are your experiences with making butter? heady stuff or is the good stuff gone?

Do it all the time. I fill up a old peanut butter jar with the poop & use that with a stick of butter. it is nice. not as strong as using raw ganja. It gives you a good body stone. Ate some this summer (actually olive oil...butter is better) while hiking my frikkin legs felt like lead. it was really uncomfortable. all i wanted to do was sit down. that only lasted for about an hour though.

I use a craftsman digital heat gun & a volcano valve set. cost me about $150US for everything on ebay & amazon.
vaporizers are ruthless!!! one of the only ways I have had a "breakthrough experience" with such a gentle green woman...
i go through way to much with a vaporizer, had to go back to the old fashioned way
If you use a volcano-type system definitely. Especially if you are chiefing by yourself. If I do a bag (I have a big bag on my valve) by myself, I am obliterated.

I wasn't a big fan of ssh. I could keep packin bowls all day long. Never hit my limit I guess. Too much up and not enough punch in the face. AK-47 or cindy were my prefered sativas, but theyre more hybrids I guess.

Wow...I haven't had any of that since visiting Vancouver several years ago. I'd picked up 1/2OZ of it to cover a week of vacation-levels usage(1/4OZ per week is more typical usage for me) and I even had to make two puna butter pizzas my last night there just to finish it all before catching my return flight the next day. I really enjoyed Golden Haze and it kept me going nonstop while I was there. Two other strains I particularly enjoyed from BC were Hawaiian Sativa X Cotton Candy and UBC Chemo.
I'm 10 minutes from Gettysburg if you ever need a copilot!

I've been getting really good bud lately. I don't know what I had the other day but it cost 475$ per OZ and 5 hits later I was in outer space.

I would be shocked if it compared. I'm in SF bay area, and from what i've been hearing from my friends that went to the east coast for school you can get decent at best. I'll post up a couple pictures later
the herb ive had from LA is much better than the herb ive had from SF, so that right there makes your argument null and void.
Uhhh, LA gets it's bud from up here. They get the same stuff, just not quite as fresh and 50$ more or so a zip. Top dollar club stuff here is going to look strait out of high times. No joke
We do get flooded with crap every fall though. The good stuff is still there. But the 100$ zips of crap are EVERYWHERE.
If you can find a half-decent grower with good genetics, you can get primo pot anywhere.

TN makes a valid point. I lived in a small community (maybe 4,000). One group of people I knew there smoked beaster and commerical weed. They were always looking for better weed. I'd walk 6 blocks down the road and kick it with another friend who had the one hit and quit herb all day everyday, for 10 bucks a gram. It was organic, tasty herb that I would put up against anything I've ever smoked.
The two groups didnt know each other and I wasn't going to introduce them.
Nor Cal is a joke. They have the best herb in the country. I mean the highest grade for the cheapest prices. It is unreal and I wouldn't argue with anyone that said as much. There is good herb everywhere, but nor cal has it in spades.
I met this dread head on amtrak once. He was carrying his suitcase everywhere with him. It was really late, like 3am and I was wandering around the train, ended up chatting with him for 2 hours in the lounge car by ourselves. He lived in nor cal and was a journeyman electrician. Set up grow houses and ran his own. His outdoor harvest had been 60 lbs or so he said. He would take a lb or two and ride amtrak around the rockies and the western states visiting friends and selling it. He tried to give me his number so that I could drive down to humboldt and pick up lb's for $2,000 a piece. I turned him down but it was a fun chat.
